#7: Best Upscale Restaurant To Go To While Stoned

Best Upscale Restaurant To Go To While Stoned

Author: Tana Smith

There are plenty of times when you’re stoned at home with the munchies; making due with cheeto puffs, kit kat bars, and a Box combo from Raising Cane’s. These all suffice for when you’re about to play 2k, but what about those times when it was just pay-day and you feel like spoiling yourself, or you’re lucky enough to find a date that would be willing to smoke with you, or it’s your homie’s birthday coming up and you’re thinking of a place to go?

If you’re willing to spend a little extra cash and pig out for your damn self, Fogo De Chao is the place to be.

Opened in 1979 in Porto Alegra, Brazil, Fogo De Chao is the premier Brazilian Steakhouse chain across the US and abroad. If you haven’t been there already, we’re sure you’ve seen one of their buildings:

Fogo De Chao is meant for the hungry, specifically the carnivores. This all-you-can-eat meat experience is the perfect spot to show up a little faded to. Presented in a fine dining experience, waiters come around to each table with various types of meat on a skewer (steak, lamb, pork, chicken), cooked/seasoned in various types of ways. This is all determined by a card with the color green on one side (telling the waiter to keep bringing meat options) and red on the other (telling the waiter to not bring any more). If you decide to keep your card on the green side, and like what you see on the skewer, then the waiter will go ahead and slice you off a limitless quantity of meat (pause).

You also have an amazing selection of all-you-can-eat sides, including: garlic mashed potatoes, caramelized bananas, polenta, and more.

The main reason why we chose Fogo De Chao to be the perfect stoner/fine dining experience is the obvious reason: it’s all-you-can-eat. And the quality of food, customer service, dim-lit interior, and pricing for the quantity of food all give more reason to come over and empty out your wallet for a little. We highly recommend spending $40-60 on yourself to get some great all-you-can-eat from Fogo De Chao; and maybe bring a friend, date, or family member for some great high conversations. Also, word of advice that’s been alluded to throughout this article: smoke before you head out to Fogo so you can take advantage of every food opportunity that comes your way. For the price you’re paying, it justifies the fact you’re pigging out.

Thank God for marijuana and Fogo De Chao.

  • How frequent should I leave my card on its green side?: Always (they allow to-go boxes)
  • Song to listen to while you’re on your way:
