#12: #RockDontStock- Cyber Monday 1

#RockDontStock- Cyber Monday 1

Every day, every minute, every second, we’re exposed to sneaker collections across the globe via Twitter, Instagram, and other social networking sites. We evaluate and critique those that we think are hot, and those that we think are not. And while doing this, I’m sure there’s always a little envy, regardless if we like the shoe or not.

These shoes are most likely in pristine condition. We can speculate that the sneakers in the post were put on ice for x amount of months/years, or just polished by some Jason Markk Premium Shoe Cleaner. Nevertheless, these shoes are meant for the spotlight. And us sneaker heads can understand that…I guess.

But what about a J that we can rock at all times. What about a pair of sneakers that we can cop and wear on a primitive level (a.k.a wearing shoes for the purpose of what a shoe is for). Sure, we have our fair share of beaters that we’re loyal to, but what about a J that we can really wear on an every day/everywhere level. (I think you know where I’m going with this).

What about the Cyber Monday 1.

Most of us casually passed up the drop in 2015. I would have, too, if I wasn’t looking for a black 1 at the time. Then I quickly learned how timeless these are. It’s true what they say, they are better with wear. And although I believe that with a lot of shoes, the Cyber Monday 1, to me, tops them all. From the white OG Nike Air branding on the tongue and mid/outsole to the all-black leather, all parts of this shoe do look better conditioned. Sure, I can throw some Jason Markk on them, but I truly believe that these kicks look better left alone. Take a look at mine and feel free to comment and provide your thoughts:

  • Places/Scenarios to enhance the wear on the kicks: Muddy puddles, dog park grass, playing a pick-up game, rainy days, airport
  • Song to play while wearing:
